Upload a UTF-8 CSV containing a USDOT or MC column. CarrierTrail identifies missing records, duplicates, paused carriers, mismatched identifiers and MC numbers that match more than one USDOT. Nothing is added until you review the preview and confirm the eligible rows.

Keep large imports moving

Confirmed imports continue in bounded background batches if you close the browser. Paid access and remaining monitoring capacity are checked while rows are processed. Download the complete row report to see what was added and what needs correction.

Export the complete result

Download the full active watchlist or the carriers matching a current search and decision filter. Detailed reports are available as CSV or Excel and include supported qualification, change, source and safety fields. Generated spreadsheet cells are protected against formula execution.

Use a stable spreadsheet workflow

The version-1 format retains USDOT and MC headings, so an export can be uploaded again. Re-importing resolves carrier identities but does not replace saved team decisions, notes or evidence. This is standards-based file exchange, not automatic synchronization or a certified TMS connection.

A carrier review from first lookup to follow-up

Illustrative workflow: your team receives a carrier packet. The USDOT matches, but the phone on the packet differs from the reported census phone. That mismatch is a question to resolve, not a fraud verdict.

  1. Find the identity: search USDOT or MC and compare the legal name, address and source date.
  2. Resolve the question: review contact connections and official filings; record the independent confirmation you obtained.
  3. Preserve the decision: save Needs review until the question is resolved, then document the reason for your decision.
  4. Follow later observations: keep the carrier active on the watchlist and enable verified email alerts. A later published change prompts another review.
