CarrierTrail help: account, lookup and monitoring

Find the right next step for access problems, identifier matches, alerts, exports and source questions.

Account and paid access

Start at the sign-in page for an existing account or use the self-service signup flow for a new workspace. Account creation and completed payment are separate steps. If billing status and workspace access disagree, note the time and displayed status for support; do not send credentials or card details.

Carrier lookup and saved records

Use the identifier type shown in your source material. An MC query can return several USDOT candidates; compare the identities before choosing. If the resolved carrier already exists in the workspace, open that entry. Public lookups and directory searches have usage limits because they query live stored data; reading generated public pages does not use those lookup quotas.

Monitoring and email questions

Check whether the saved carrier is actively monitored and whether the available source check is complete and current. Email preferences require a verified recipient and opt-in. An email is a notification; the workspace is where the evidence, follow-up and team decision should be reviewed.

Exports and corrections

Use a CSV for a current watchlist snapshot and decision evidence JSON for a particular historical review. For a public-data display issue, include the USDOT, page URL, exact field and source date in a correction request. CarrierTrail can investigate import or display behavior but does not directly change an official FMCSA filing.
