# CarrierTrail

> CarrierTrail is a carrier vetting and monitoring service for freight brokers. Its public website provides FMCSA-based carrier directories, USDOT and MC lookup tools, carrier profiles, fleet statistics and broker guides.

Public carrier information comes from official FMCSA census data and, where available, published authority and insurance filings. Refer to the source and observation dates on each page. CarrierTrail is independent of FMCSA. A missing filing match does not establish that a carrier lacks authority or insurance. Change history covers CarrierTrail's observation period, not a carrier's entire history.
